Once the wedding day is over the one thing you will have left as a testament to all the hard work you put into planning, all the love that surrounded you on your day, and how beautiful you looked is your photographs. I encourage all brides to read this over and let me know if you have any further questions![/cs_text][cs_text]

Do you offer posed portraits?

[/cs_text][cs_text]Absolutely. During getting ready I take a formal portrait of the bride (and the second shooter will do the groom). After the ceremony I typically do family portraits first, wedding party second, and couple portraits last. At the end of the night I try do a fun posed portrait either at sunset or when it’s dark. The rest of the time I’m shooting “moments”.[/cs_text][cs_text]

Do you use a second shooter?

[/cs_text][cs_text]I use one of several talented photographers available on your day to assist with shooting, for 10 and 12 hour packages. Generally the second shooter can be helpful during getting ready and ceremony, although not required.[/cs_text][cs_text]

Is it important that I hire a photographer that has shot at my venue before?

[/cs_text][cs_text]While it is certainly helpful to have shot at a location before as I learn all of their little spots to photograph, I do find my greatest creativity comes at a new location. So there is no right or wrong answer.[/cs_text][cs_text]

How many photos will we receive?

[/cs_text][cs_text]Approximately 50 images per hour. This is an estimate; however, as weddings that have more action tend to have far more images and weddings with long breaks or down time result in fewer. I’d rather WOW you with fewer AMAZING images than water it all down with hundreds that all look the same or are of poorer quality.[/cs_text][cs_text]

How long does it take to get our photos?

[/cs_text][cs_text]Wedding images are delivered within 12 weeks. I put lots of care and attention into editing your photos and am sure that each photo is not rushed. But, I DO post a few “sneak peeks” online, sometimes even during the wedding at dinner if there’s wifi![/cs_text][cs_text]

Do we get an engagement session?

[/cs_text][cs_text]I offer a complimentary engagement session to each couple that books with me. These one hour sessions are not built into the packages, but are an excellent way for us to meet before your wedding. During these sessions you can get an idea of the types of poses I’ll do with you on your wedding day, we can get to know each other and your love story, and you can use the images in your wedding invitations, slideshows, guest book or other ways at your weddings. I’ve even seen the couple’s engagement photos on each table as centrepieces![/cs_text][cs_text]

How far in advance do we need to book?

[/cs_text][cs_text]I typically book 1-2 years in advance; however, I sometimes have less popular dates available. Saturdays and Sundays and long weekends book up the quickest.
[/cs_text][cs_text]

Are you insured?

[/cs_text][cs_text]Yes. I hold liability insurance and coverage of my equipment on and off-site.[/cs_text][cs_text]

How do I receive my images?

[/cs_text][cs_text]Once your images are ready, you will receive an email with a link to download your digital images. I suggest creating a backup copy on your computer should you accidentally lose your images. Images are kept at this link for only two months. I offer custom flash-drive gift boxes for sale as well.[/cs_text][cs_text]

Do I own the copyright?

[/cs_text][cs_text]You will receive a personal license to use your images. The original copyright is owned by me. What does this mean?

What you can do: Make prints, albums, post them online (with credit to me as this shows appreciation of my work and allows me to stay in business).

What you can’t do: You cannot sell them or profit from them in any way, alter them (croping, filters, photoshopping are all no-nos) or distribute them to vendors. I will do this to ensure that the vendors have the correct usage rights.

How does the booking process work?

[/cs_text][cs_text]First of all, thank you for wanting to book with me! My booking process is simple. I like to either schedule an in-person meeting or a telephone or skype chat with clients who live out of town to hear more about your wedding and the two of you. I then tell you about how I typically shoot on the day and let you ask any questions.
Once we meet and you decide to book, I require a 50% retainer and a signed contract. Two weeks prior to your wedding day I ask for a detailed itinerary and your family photo list. I have a special link that I send out to remind you, and it gives you ideas on how to best format this.
I have some great advice about how to plan for a hot wedding day, the best timeline to do your wedding for the best light, and can answer any questions you have about photography on the day!
